Hospitality Design: PG Bison Hotel Design

Project requirements:
The site and location of a structure are extremely important. In the case of this hotel design, there was flexibility in terms of both site and general design language. Overall, the design and hotel should cater to South Africans and provide a unique experience. Design should include:
A secondary activity that attracts local South Africans to the hotel.
Suite room and bathroom.
Guest room and bathroom.
Bar and eating area (with buffet).
Entertainment area.
Rooftop bar with a pool.

Design solution:
The hotel's general architecture honours the site and the natural surroundings. The hotel's design placed the balconies at different levels so that guests could see the Hartbeespoort dam from above. Guests can have a beverages and sundowners on the rooftop, which offers the best view. Both adults and children are catered for at the hotel. In order to extract a golden thread from the Hartbeespoort dam in front of the hotel, the whole design uses waves. Waves are incorporated into the design of the balconies, bulkheads, and wall trimmings.
